「Merry Christmas!」令人雀躍期待的聖誕節來臨,本校國際事務中心於12月25日晚上六點舉辦聖誕party,讓本校所有的國際學生,也能在異地有個愉快溫馨的聖誕之夜。現場聖誕氣氛濃厚,不僅有應景的聖誕樹,吃到飽的Buffet、聖誕組曲播放。更有讓大家期待又緊張的「交換禮物」時間,精采有趣的活動,肯定讓這些國際學生們在環球留下最深刻的耶誕回憶。

Fruitful Vietnam Educational Tour

The President of Transworld Institute of Technology (TIT), Dr. Shu-Hsiang Hsu, accompanied by the Director of Center for International Affairs, Dr. Ying-Ni Winnie Chen, and Project Coordinator of International Exchange Section, Mr. Solomon Fang went to Hanoi, Vietnam to seek opportunities for academic collaboration.


With the assistance from Atlantic International Education & Training Co., LTD, they visited Hong Duc University (HDU) in Thanh Hoa City, Hanoi University of Business and Technology (HUBT), Vietnam University of Commerce (VCU), Hanoi Tourism College (HTC), and Taipei Cultural & Economic Office with fruitful achievements.

It was agreed that TIT will work closely with HDU, HUBT, VCU, and HTC on the basis for offering 2+2 and 1+3 bachelor's degree, or 1+1 master's degree between institutions. Taipei Office may provide help with regard to visa application. TIT welcomes the coming of Vietnamese students in 2009!

Cooperation with Fine Art Transworld SDN. BHD., Malaysia

Director Thomas Kor, Industrial and Commercial Services Section, Penang Alumni Association of Taiwan Universities and Colleges and Managing Director Choo KF, Anthony, Fine Arts Group of Companies signed Letter of Intent with President Shu-Hsiang Hsu with the presence of Chairperson Shih-chi Tseng, Department of Styling and Cosmetology and Director Ying-Ni Chen, Center for International Affairs. Transworld Institute of Technology will collaborate with Fine Art Transworld SDN. BHD. in providing offshore education programs with Malaysian students.


Fine Arts Group of Companies, with more than 2,000 adult students in Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines, is the cradle of future leaders and experts. Fine Art Transworld SDN. BHD. works together with Fine Arts Group of Companies as a strategic partner.

Grand Opening of the International Lounge (IL)

To offer better services to teachers, students, and staff members of Transworld Institute of Technology (TIT) as well as to meet the increasingly large volume of business at the Center for International Affairs (CIA), we relocated to the fourth floor of Tsun Cheng Building (MA401). The Office of CIA is renovated with the establishment of IL where you can find international students to chat. IL is equipped with Dolby Stereo LCD TV broadcasting English news programs and movies. Prospectuses of sister institutions and English publications are displayed on shelves. Passport to TransWorld will be issued to encourage participation in sharing cross-cultural experiences. Interesting activities of improving English abilities as well as enhancing world knowledge will be held to prepare every member on campus a future leader who thinks globally and acts locally! CIA is your Window on the World.

The Higher Education Fair in Malaysia Put Transworld Institute of Technology (TIT) on the Map

Dr. Shu-Hsiang Hsu, the President of Transworld Institute of Technology (TIT), accompanied by Dr. Ying-Ni Chen, the Director of Center for International Affairs and Dr. Hsi-Hsien Liu, the Department Head of Styling and Cosmetology attended the 2008 Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Malaysia held in Kuala Lumpur and Penang from July 27 to August 1. They also visited local educational institutions, exchanged views on cooperation in vocational education and dual degree program, and facilitated business expansion among other institutions in the hopes of putting TIT on the map!

A Successful Educational Tour to Malaysia


To execute the MOE grant project on International Cooperation, President of Transworld Institute of Technology (TIT), Dr. Shu-Hsiang Hsu, led a delegate to Malaysia for academic visits and exchanges.


The delegate comprised TIT President, Dr. Hsu, the Director of Center for International Affairs, Dr. Ying-Ni Winnie Chen, the Department Head of Styling and Cosmetology, Dr. Hsi-Hsien Liu, Assistant Professor of Styling and Cosmetology, Dr. Hsiao-Ping Fang, and a junior undergraduate student of Styling and Cosmetology, Yi-Ting Chuang.

Their visit reached very constructive outcome. For instance, they successfully introduced the profession of styling and cosmetology in Taiwan to the students, faculty, and academic institutions in Malaysia, making the Malaysian academia have a better understanding about how thriving and well-developed the vocational education is in Taiwan.
